I would price yours at what a P1 goes for rather than a WWII P38. I know I over paid but good luck finding a WWII P38 these days for less than $600, even a lowly "unvaluable" Russian capture. So Im not sure that bodes well for a P1 or postwar P38. Russian capture P38s are seen as not having any value at all to a serious collector.

Sounds like you have a postwar P38 that was produced before the switch to the P1 with the alloy (aluminum) frame. I dont know of any semiauto 9mm pistol that doesnt have a steel slide, Im sure there is some obscure gun out there though. What condition is the barrel and rifling in? Recoil springs? Does it rattle when shaken, like the last post-war Walther P-38 that someone tried to sell me at an outrageous price of $700 dollars, and I passed on. Not sure if the aftermarket sights lower the value of the P-38.
